Open call for the 5th edition of Normal (April 2025)

(RESEARCH GROUP) April 14-18, 2025, Barcelona
NORMAL is an ongoing research on intimacy, each time approached through a different lens. For this edition, we invite you to explore SICK: sickness as a state, a process, a relation, a form of knowledge. How does sickness reconfigure our ways of being together? What forms of care, connection, and resistance emerge from it?
We are looking for different kinds of bodies, abilities, and ages to join this exploration. Difference is key. This call is not only for artists but for anyone whose experience, presence, and perspective can contribute to a collective reflection on sickness and intimacy. If you engage with performance, movement, installation, or simply have a lived experience that resonates with these themes, we would love to hear from you.
Participants in this research group will engage in discussions, movement practices, and shared reflections on sickness and intimacy. They will also have the option to continue into the second phase of the project, working towards a performance.
