_ Performance _ July 20
Can prejudice condemn dissident bodies and identities? Can you desire what you don't see? What is the limit of the game? Do you know it? Do you think a look is enough to understand a person?
Matilde Flor Usinger & Íñigo Laudio have been exploring these questions for a week at Observatorio del Placer. We would be happy to invite you to a showing of our work.
Bizarre snails – PERFORMANCE
Go through a movement that leads to exploration. Savor the slowness, Savor the essence of the bodies.... Make room for curiosity...morbid curiosity...full of contradictions... Display the range of the bizarre including prohibited bodies, unnameable identities. Eroticize disability in my imagination..., illness? filia?problem? Or have it in front of you... Exists? I cannot desire that which does not exist...that which is hidden. What I don't see, what I don't touch...
