Nuestro objetivo con las residencias artísticas es fomentar proyectos que desplieguen la sexualidad como una faceta dinámica y entrelazada de la experiencia humana.
Located within a post-identitarian framework that values diversity and fluidity, our explorations aim to bring creative and ecological dimensions to the discourse around sexuality. They aspire to push the boundaries of linguistic expression and anchor sexuality within broader ecological contexts.
By emphasizing the relational nature of sexuality, we underline the significance of its intra-action, weaving intricate plots with other entities. By fusing these diverse perspectives, we aim to foster a holistic understanding that transcends conventional frameworks. This initiative seeks to invite a more inclusive and interconnected exploration of sexuality, celebrating its countless forms and expressions.

In our search for innovative exploration processes, we invite artists to participate in residencies at Observatorio del Placer. These residencies are dedicated to research and practice, with a specific focus on various aspects of the broad spectrum of sexuality.

RESIDENCE APPLICATION RULES
_ RECIPIENTS
Artists and collectives seeking a workspace to develop research and practice projects on the exploration of sexuality within the context of post-identity, xenopoetics, ecoqueer and intra-action from perspectives that challenge traditional notions of identity, interact with diverse forms of expression and highlight the intertwinings between the human and the more than human.
_ DATES
Convocatoria abierta para recibir propuestas sin fecha límite.
We will communicate the resolution within a maximum of 2 weeks from receipt of the proposal.
_ ENDOWMENT
Observatory makes available space and technical equipment that there is currently.
CONSULTAR DOSSIER TÉCNICO
Access to the workspace will be de 15-21h de lunes a viernes durante una semana. In very specific cases that take into account the rest of the space's programming, another time or duration for the residency could be considered.
During the month of the residency, the artist or group will have free access to the rest of the activities carried out at Observatorio del Placer.
_ CONDITIONS
For its part, the artist or collective must carry out an activity open to the public or participants around the topic of your research or production, on the last day of your residency or during the following two weeks.
También entregará una pequeña memoria del trabajo y las conclusiones realizadas durante su proceso en el espacio incluyendo imágenes y videos.
The artists or collectives who are the authors of the selected projects must transfer the rights of public communication during the period of residence and dissemination of the work for promotional purposes and for incorporation into the website and archives of Observatorio del Placer for communication and investigation.
The studio is inside a residential building and we have to respect noise restrictions, so we will only accept residents who can work without loud music or constant noise. We need a gentle environment inside the building.
Durante el fin de semana podemos tener sonido normal durante algunas horas al día.
Accommodation is not included and is not an option we can offer.
_ ACTIVITY OPEN TO THE PUBLIC OR PARTICIPANTS
The activity carried out will depend on each project, so it remains to be defined.
The activities that are usually carried out at the Observatory have an economic collaboration.
If the activity has an entrance fee, 50% of the profit from the activity will go to the artist or group.
The maximum capacity of the space is 45 people.
** At OdP we do not want anyone to be left out of the activities due to economic issues, so if someone requests it, they can access without collaboration.
